Winter special 3 nights minimum stay to discover 3 major modern art events in Paris

Is Paris the capital of modern art ? Three major events might prove it : the re-opening of Picasso museum, the unique Jeff Koons exhibition at Pompidou Center and of course the amazing building created by Frank Gehry for the Louis Vuitton Foundation. So, why not planning a visit this winter ? It is the best period to avoid lines...

Next to the famous Place des Vosges in Le marais district you will find the Paris Picasso Museum. It just re-opened after 5 years of renovation. It is the biggest museum dedicated to this huge artist in the world with more than  5000 pieces of art. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, blue or pink period, cubism, every single kind of Picasso works is shown in this museum. On the last floor you even find the private collection of the Master. A true must...

Paris is currently considered as an old City with no creation nor contemporary art. Well, here is an example showing that Paris stays at the cutting edge of modern creation :  the brand new Louis Vuitton Foundation. You cannot escape this incredible building created by the famous architect Franck Ghéry. Reminding us some boat sails, the architecture is made of glass and tranlucence. The collection of Louis Vuitton Foundation is not completed, far from it but it is worth a visit just for this extraordinary construction. No need to go the the Sydney Opera to see a Franck Ghéry conception at its best !

Last but not least, the Pompidou Center inaugurates the first major tribute dedicate in Europe to  Jeff Koons. Its been 27 years since Jeff Koons exposed for the first time "Rabbit"  in the Pompidou center. Since then, the author of the famous stainless baloon has become one of the most notorious and disputed artist in the contemporary art. You will see sculptures and paintings from all over the world. The very first ones inspired by Pop art to the latest ones that interact with the Art history.
